Dash Lights: Cruise Ctrl, Pwr Mirror & Moonroof switches
Well I guess the cruise and mirror buttons will just stay white for a while until I can figure out how to make them blue! Or untill I hear more about the civic hybrids dash lights. Later

im gonna chk about the hybrid lights when i get a chance. I just blacked mine out (no light at all) cause the orange is killin me but ill chk the hybrid. If anyone 1 of u gets to Honda and can get blue bulbs/condoms from the hybrid plz post and let us know.

Well I got some bad news and some good news about the Civic Hybrid. The bad news is that the cruise and mirror buttons are still that crappy green color. So we are still stuck unless the gauge cluster uses the blue LEDs(I fogot to ask about the gauge cluster while I was at Honda). The good news is I just realized that the mirrors on the hybrid are painted and they fold in!!! I've been looking for some of those! Well I guess were still stuck on the whole LED swap....Later
I am in central california righ tnow. This weekend I will be in San Jose. anyone who wants me to, meet up with me at some time and we will take apart every button to figure out if they are LED's or buls, or if this has been discovered, we will make an attempt to swap every single bulb.
My cars color pattern is black/carbonfiber trim, with red lights. In my particular car, the stock lights actually are the perfect color for me (now i need to make the dome light red......
) so i will not be doing this to my car. But ive got lots of experience down with taking parts of the dash apart, and im no stranger to messing with the car PCB's. (I almost destroyed my cruise controll circuit, never work with the PCB while in teh car, with teh board attatched! =p)
seriously tho, I'd love to work with someone on this, and see if we can get all teh lights changed out.
any takers? bay area this weekend, normally in San Luis. hit back up here, or email me spitvalve@yahoo.com if you wanna join up for this project

White Rabbit I would go over to San Jose this weekend but I have to work and it is getting close to the end of the semester(damn Finals)! If you tear apart your dash(sorry. If you help take apart someone elses) this weekend let us know how it goes. Maybe this summer we can all meet up in Pismo Beach? That would be a pretty sweet place for a meet! Later and keep us informed. AnchorBlueMan01

thought i made it clear im not gonna take apart my dash for the purpose of changing the lights. but ive seen teh bulbs in a couple spots (A/C, cruise control, etc) and it wouldnt be too much of a hassle to change those out.
sure man, you wanna have a meet in SLO? haha you can all stay in my apartment ;p 2k1 party lol.

ok the button that controls the moonroof, u can push it forward and it should come out, there may be some tabs on the top/bottom of it that u need to depress and then slide it foward and it will slide out. i THINK there r tabs but either way it should come out.
The mirror adjust button i never got out but u can use like a flathead screwdriver and on the back u will see some slits, slide the driver in and pop it out on both sides, as always be careful. u will seperate the back from the front and be able to access the bulb. PM if u need more help, i can pull mine out and look at it with u if needed.

I just worked on pushing one end of the mirror button and then pushed as hard as I could on the other end and it poped out! Well No more green dash lights(I have the Sedan) for me!! Right now they are just white(As shown in the pic, at the top of page 4) untill I can figure out what to do with them! Later

i made them all blue except the mirror switch. it was not at all worth the hassle, and if u have blue neons under seat ( which u do ) its best just to make it so they dont light up and they will look good cause the neon will make the white blue. So my suggestion is just remove all the bulbs.
to get the cruise and sunroof blue i removed the blulbs, widened the holes the bubls went to. then wired leds into the hole. but i def think it looks best just taking out the bulbs and having neons under the seat shine blue onto the white.

[hr]ok, heres the deal, all you need to do is go to your honda dealer and have them order the bulbs from the 2003 civic hybrid. it has bulbs covered by BLUE condoms. plus, all of its interior lights are blue. i believe the cost is something like 3.25 each. [hr]
