Post 2001 Civic EX - Windshield Wiper Fluid Not Squirting

Hello Folks,
The windshiper wiper fluids are not coming out from my 2001 Honda Civic EX. Normally, when it is out of fluid, I would at-least hear the pump/motor making a noise. But today..there is absolutely no noise being heard either.

Not sure what could be wrong. I'll take it to the dealership tomorrow morning. However, I would appreciate if somebody can provide me with any probable cause for this malfunction. Is the fuse shorted out or does the pump need to be replaced? Any other reason for this? I know I have had the pipes blocked before but in those instances I would hear the pump going -no such luck this time around.

Thanks for your tips.

Regards,
Shams.

maybe the plug came undone or something with the wiring. or the motor just went out.

take off the bumper. its on the driver side infront of the wheel.

Hello, I am also a new user to this site and am having the same problem with my Civic. I looked inside the windshield washer fluid container, and it seems to have a decent amount of, for lack of a better word, goo...sludge. Is it possible that the sludge has clogged the wiper tubes, and if so, how would you suggest I fix it?

I very much appreciate your insight!

disconnect and unbolt the resivor- then clean it out the best you can by flushing it with very mildly-soapy water through it till the sludge is gone. There should be only liquid in there, not sludge... maybe someone poured the wrong fluid in there *shrugs*

my pump quit working so i yanked the whole system out lol. usually its just clogged nozzles, can you hear the pump making a buzz sound? its also possible you clogged the lines and ruined the pump internally. first replace the nozzles and clean out the reservoir. then run new fluid and see what happens. i would replace the lines too, they sell a bulk pack at honda for around $20.
