a brake question???
If its the front brakes that are squeeking, it's prolly a little dust between the rotor and brake pads. If it is a really high-pitch, spine-chilling, make-the-hair-on-the-back-of-your-neck-stand-up squeal and you can still hear it a little when you're driving, it's time for new pads. For the dust problem, you could try a little compressed air, or if you don't mind getting dirty, take the caliper off, check the pads, and clean things up a bit with brake cleaner.

i dont have squeeks but i have nasty break groan. this is especially the case when breaking just slighty hard. and i seem to notice it more when its cold. could that be it? just becuase the breaks are cold? becuase it does go away after awhile of driving. but it is very loud and annoying
if it happens all the time bring it in for service cause I'm in Canada and we all know it's cold here, but I don't have that sound you're talking about...
it doesn't happen to be the ABS kicking in would it??? just making sure

im sure its not the ABS.. i have never had to slam my breaks that hard. just pushing in the break pedal a lil quicker then say u would use to stop from 10 mph.. maybe going 30 and tryin to stop in the same amount of space.
