window wipers won't squirt
window wipers won't squirt
Hello,
I just purchased a 1995 Civic DX yesterday and need to correct a couple of issues. I'll start with the windshield wiper being dry. There is plenty of fluid in the reservoir, but the squirter does not shoot anything out. The wipers themselves do work. I'm assuming that there is a pump that may not be working. I haven't picked up a repair manual yet, so help in locating the pump is appreciated. Also, is this the best place to start or are there cheaper fixes to consider first? Thanks for your help,
Andy

You can tell if the pump is working by listening to it usualy, espetialy on older cars.
If you're trying to get fluid to come out and you can hear the pump struggling, most likely a blockage somewhere.

disconnect the tubing from the nozzles, point away from the car, and then try them. if it squirts water everywhere, you know its the nozzles.
