So one of my abs sensors is....
So I just found out that the abs sensor is shot on the passenger side from the dealership on my 02 EL. I did a search and didn't see anything come up but I was wondering where is this sensor located and is it possible for me to replace it by myself if I buy the new sensor??
Thanks!
Thanks!

Wow.. thanks tfnaaf! Those diagrams are a big help... I guess it's just a matter of unscrewing a couple of screws and unplugging the connectors. I can't believe the dealership is gonna charge me $200+ for fixing this....

Re: So one of my abs sensor is....
I had this same problem about six months ago on my civic. It ended up being not fun for me and my buddy that helped me with it. My wheel speed sensor that was in there was destroyed so it wouldn’t just come out when we removed the bolt from the back. Luckily, my friend is mechanically inclined where I am not so he was able to pull the drum apart to be able to get the factory sensor out of there (rear wheel).
Hopefully you don’t run into any of the same problems. Here’s some other info that might be useful, ABS light reset and spacing specs for the speed sensor.
ABS light reset:
After replacing it you will need to clear the DTC so the ABS light on your gauges goes away. Do this by cycling the ignition ON then OFF at least 20 times. If everything was properly fixed this will clear the light.
