Help with iat sensor

hi i have a 98 civic dx and my check engine light is on. its for the IAT sensor. I changed the IAT sensor and still didnt reslove the problema and so i changed the ecu and still didnt fix the problem. Has this ever happend to anyone? does someone know what to do?

Check the wiring for breaks, tears, frays, etc.... and the connector for a bad or dirty connection

on my car, the wire for the IAT just makes it to where the sensor plugs into my AEM intake, and that's after i cut some of the tape around the wires to free up some slack. If you have an intake, or if the car had one before, it's possible the wires have been pulled out of the plug, or dislodged enough that they aren't working. i'd check that, then follow the wire toward the ecu, and see if you see any problems there.
