87 Si Clutch Help

So I searched around (but may have used wrong keywords...dunno) for the first BIG problem with my new project. The previous owner says the clutch is no good. Put it in gear, let off the clutch and nothing. Now clutch and TO bearing is cheap, BUT before I start tearing into this thing, I would like to know if there's something else I should be looking for. Such as broken input shaft, etc. I'm going to start on it this weekend so any help would be great.

Re: 87 Si Clutch Help

Starting tomorrow on it and just need to know if there are any common internal problems that I need to crack the case for. I've owned a few Hondas (2 88 CRXs, 3 4th Gen 4 Doors and 2 91 Teg Ls's), but never one quite this old. I know the d-series stuff is pretty strong, but just want to make sure that I don't go slapping a clutch in only to find something else inside is broken.

Car is totally stock and previous owners were hippie/golf nuts. Motor has 250,000 miles on it. So another question is should I just refresh the motor with new seals, bearings, gaskets, wp, t-belt, etc. while I'm at it?
