Re: Putting in new window. Any tips???

Someone busted my driver side 01 ex as well. Its pretty much straight forward. Remove tweeter, remove door panel, remove plastic. Clean out all the little glass. I went to those public vacuum places like a self car wash. Remove the 2 pieces of glass thats still on the mount. Clean out the little pieces of glass some more. Slide the new glass in and bolt it on. Put everything back in reverse order. There aren't really any tricks. The most time consuming part was vacuuming. I installed the glass in about 20 minutes or so not including vacuuming.

Re: Putting in new window. Any tips???

Thanks. Yea I just wasnt sure if anyone had problems with alignments or anything. The other thing that is weird is that the window that was in there before didnt have screws in the two holes where the clip is but it looks like it was held in with silicone. But I plan on getting that out of there and just buying the screws anyways. But i just thought it was odd. Anyways thanks Clutch.

I suggest welding in a piece of .090 sheet metal. You can then cut a little slit in it so you can see the mirror and you are done. This is cheaper and safer then having a glass window in the hood.

Here is a link to a company that can fix you up.:
