Smog Help.
It passed visual and Functional but failed emissions. HC (PPM) Too high, CO% too high, and NO(ppm) also too high. Also I need to replace the relay on the electric fan, atleast thats easy stuff ( I think, any help?). The smog guy was really cool he was saying it may just need a new cat converter, he said it looked like it was still the stock converter... oh... yes.. the previous owners are getting a letter and a bill, if they dont try to atleast work it out ill file small claims in a flash re-selling it "as-is" may be a possibility as well... its a good car though. we'll see what happens. The previous owners didnt smog it like they said and it was my bad by not catching it.... anyways. Does it sound like it will need much? From you smog savy guys n' gals? Thanks...
Re: Smog Help.
If you have an Ex then it'll be pretty simple...just get a new cat installed.
If you have an Dx or LX or any other model where the cat and header is one piece, you'll have to shell out some serious cash for a replacement one or hope you'll land a used working one for cheap.
