Re: Time to tidy up the Teins!
i understand you wanting to tidy up your undercarrage, but since you took off your suspension, now you have to get an alignment. hardly worth it IMO.

Re: Time to tidy up the Teins!
Thanks folks!
It already needed an alignment, and that's easy enough to do myself. That will take all of a half hour at the shop tomorrow. It was either that or watch my $1200 suspension rust away. Even if I had to pay $50 for a shop to do a front end alignment, it was worth it.

The exact terminology I don't know, but they act like a big washer. They're aluminum and allow the spring to turn without binding.

That's OK. The main point of this was to get all that rust off and prevent more from forming by repainting them. That way if I ever do decide to change my setup, sell it, or whatever, they won't be all crapified.

Yup, and the springs as they were looking a bit tatty. I also shot some Rustoleum spray paint up into shock towers to take take care of a little rust there. Anything to keep the oxidization away!

With coilovers, I would think some form of them are required so your springs don't bind and make that "Tong!" sound when you turn. I don't know if you can buy them separately or not though.
