Help!!! timing belt problems

hey
i am putting a timing belt and water pump on a 2002 honda civic si
and what happens everything lines up when you turn the crank by hand
every soo often the belt gets VERY loose on the left side from the cam to the crank ..

i have changed tensioner and the spring ..

any ideas ???

is this an ep3 or candian em2 si? did you put the tensioner and spring on right?

I was assuming it was a canadian em2 si because I thought k-series only had chains?

it might be because if you rotate backwards even a little it loosens up. ive seen that happen on a v8

he didnt say anything about rotating it backwards. and what v8's have belts instead of chains? noob

hrmm i got my buddy from honda to take a look at it
he said that was normal
