Cool S2000-Civic conversion

Hi, fairly new to chatrooms so hope I'm doin' this right... If there's anybody who can help me out with a bit of info on the following I'll appreciate it alot... I'm trying to calculate costs and the feasability of dropping an S2000 motor into a civic '99 model body... What changes do I have to make in terms of gearbox etc. can it be done? and at what expense? Thanx once again... hoping to hear from somebody soon....

wow uh i havent really heard of this swap done before..however i heard a lot of things about the f series and the k series having a lot of parts interchangeable. but again with some modifications. so if anything best bet would to be the k series with some f series parts. this is something from what ive read. theres an issue with the sedan si with some f sereis parts on honda tuning. its spoon built but yeah. it might give u an inspiration of some sort.

ok look ive searched this before because i was reading and saw that a s2k could put out 240hp on a N/A 4 cylinder and said wow those guys were thinkin. and if you do search make sure you search the f20C or f22C not to be confused with the f block found in mid 90's accords. They are nothing alike. I think honda just got lazy with their letters. Anyways the site i read basically said that even if you plan on running ur engine N/A the k20 or k24/k20a2 hybrid is a much better engine because it has more potential. They did a test of putting a header and cam gears and some other crap on a f22c and a k20a2 and found out that the k20a2 could make higher numbers with less mods. Also the k20 is a much cheaper engine. The reason why it is better is because the f22c or f20c runs at a higher compression which means its pretty much maxed out and wouldnt do as well on boost as a lower compression engine like the k20 or k24/20a2 hybrid. I hope this info is right otherwise im gonna look like an a$$
