injen sri install help

ok i searched "injen install" and nothing came up, so be kind and don't flame me ok anyways, i installed the sri today and i noticed a bracket that is wielded on the pipe towards the filter end... and it doesn't fit anywhere for me to mount, it just sits there now... and my intake is wobbling because i don't have it mounted on the engine bay. well, i was wondering where does that thing mount on, some pics would be nice.

thank you kind sirs and/or ma'ams.

Wanger - if it wasn't dark I could get some pics. Did you insert the rubber grommet off the existing breather box into the larger hole at the bottom of that bracket. You should see where the lowest bolt on the original breather box went and it should be close to the bracket. You kinda have to leave everything loose until you get it in, then tighten everything up.

yeah i inserted all the hoses... the breather and the sensor. but the bracket i'm talking about is about 6 inches down the pipe from the breather... it is pointing downwards into a big openning that does seem to fit into anything the stock one fits into. heres a something i drew to illustrate.

Wanger - there should be another bracket that attaches from that to the mounting location towards your right. I took a pic. PM me with your email address and I'll send it to you.

loooolool those are mad paint.exe skillz dawg... but yea i had that similar problem when i installed it and it was getting dark. i had to kinda "force" (not too strongly though) the intake kinda towards the front of the car, so it wasnt parallele with the windshield, in order to have the bracket reach the mount on the engine.. sorry dont have pix for ya. good luck!

would be helpful if someone can take a pic of where that twisted piece of metal mounts onto the engine.... i'm guessing that you attach that piece of metal to the bracket on the intake and then the engine on the other end? my prob is not knowing wtf i'm doing and where to mount to the engine

It mounts to the engine using one of the same holes the stock intake used for mounting.
