after accident issues
ok.. i had an accident about 3 months ago.. and after re-welding a new rocker panel on the car and replacing the suspension as well as all the cosmetic work i have an issue....
my car.. at about 50 miles per hour starts to hum... it sounds like its comin from the front end... the only thing i can assume... is that its a vibrating wheel well cover... because i have a hole in it from the accident...
i have already taken th car out to honda and gotten a alignment and a balance on the tires... and have replaced the tires on the side with the accident...
if anyone has anyu ideas or info... please feel free to contribute as i commute to school via highway for an 2 hrs a day... and its annoying

did that bodyshop that did the repair work put your car onto a chassis alignment rack? this alignment isnt for your tires, but rather to see if your chassis is "straight".

Sorry to jack your thread, but I didn't want to start a new one with the same title...
I've been having issues with what I think is the tranny. When I put it in first and start going at a really slow pace, it makes a weird sound... kinda like the sound your brakes make when you first use them when they get wet. Almost a rubbing/grinding sound you could say. But it only happens when I start out in first and go really slow. It also happens when I'm rolling to a stop, put it in second, and without ever fully stopping, start going again at low rpm's. Any suggestions?

And to the original poster, if the problem you are experience is just noise and not something you can feel like a vibration or something odd with the steering. Then you probably have something loose or not connected properly.

no need to worry bout jackin it becuase what i think you need is new bearings in your transmission... mostb lkely the throughout bearing... when you hit high rpms it would go away.. correct???
The rpm's don't necessarily need to be high. As long as I'm not doing what I described earlier, it goes away. The time I notice it most would be when I'm in first though. When I let up on the clutch very slowly and give it some gas very slowly. And also while starting back up in 2nd at low rpm's after a rolling stop--- in both scenarios, it stops at about 2000 rpm's I think... I never really checked to see how much it was at when it did stop but I know it is somewhere close to there. I'm guessing you're not considering 2000 or even 3000 rpm's high rpm's?
