what clusters will fit ?
my friend took his car to honda because the speedometer is hanging at 240 all the time haha, so he doesnt know how fast he is going, they told him to replace it costing him a hefty $700
01 civic
auto
no tach
so with that given, he wants to get different cluster, with tach, ive seen 7thgens with rsx clusters,
will an rsx premium fit into his car? and will the tach work? what parts should i be replacing/required and needed?
sorry if this is repost, but yeah trying to keep the forum alive :P

$700 for a cluster? dang...that's a ripoff.
i think the rsx one, you have to do some major modding.
i tell your friend to get the '03 and after clusters.
they look really nice. and when i got it done, i got it for $45 on ebay. and there should be a wiring diagram somewhere in the forum.

no..........thats called "dealership"
anyways, just buy another cluster on ebay (about 100 bucks shipped)
and then go from there...if it still does not work, take it to a local shop n have em check it out..... it could be a fuse or a VSS blow out...etc...

700 is a rip off, major. Thats like, the grand canyon of ripoffs.. anyways his total car milage is going to be off if he gets a used one. There is a machine to change the miles but everyone that has one is too scared to use it because of fraud. Good luck.

yeah get a wiring diagram off this site...and DIY. it's a lil harder..but do it! there's a sig on here.. something like paying someone to make you car faster, and being proud of it!
i know which one your talking about, it says something like having someone else work on your car is like have someone have sex with your wife and taking credit for the kid.

For an rsx clusters to fit and work it will require rewiring and piece needs to be made to hold in the rsx cluster. Majestic Honda sells stock civic cluster for 01 lx for $170. Honda Automotive Parts

i love my blue lights lol....yeah, if you want my '02 cluster...i'll sell it for you for $150... if that's if your friend wants it. i'd prefer the '03 and later model clusters.

you need to find the wiring diagram if you are using a 03-05 on a 01-02.. its plug and play but its not plug and play lol. i dont know where the diy is, check the diy section first then start searching.. it may be gone cause of this shitty move to c-f.
