b20 intake manifold on d17?
b20 intake manifold on d17?
Ok so I just bought a b20b1 for my 92 hatch, but I'm going to buy a b18c1 head for it so I was thinking should I try and mod the stock b20 IM onto my d17a2? Has this been done? is it possible? I have another d17a1 manifold that I can pull a flange off of to get it to mount. Any potential issues?

GSR IM has been done, but it was a major pain in the *** and never worked right. I wouldnt waste the time.
The runners need to be cut, respaced and welded, then what you end up with needs to be port matched so the runners line up with the ports, vacuum problems... it just wasnt worth it.

it will work with a b20 IM. the b20 runners line up almost perfect with the d17 IM flange. just use the flange from your other d17 IM, cut the flange off the b20, and tig it up. you need to weld a plate where the TB mounts and bore it out for a new one. you can use a k20 tb. and a hole or two on the IM need to be filled. i saw an article in honda tuning way back and it worked fine.
