Tail Light Mod do you think these would be illegal to have?

I was thinking of smoking these out just a little bit. I have stock right now smoked out 80 percent. I like these lights and they have leds which are brighter than stock.

Sounds to me like you just wanted to be an admin. I also do not see how you can judge EMHonda.com while your site is hosted by proboards, has no knowledge base, barely any members. Basic site put together in 20minutes with little or no effort involved. my 02. cents.

hey technically are not illegal...they have the requirements:
two tone red brake/stop light
red reflector
clear reverse
turn signal (needs to be red or amber)
however, if u get pulled over (speciall in CA)
and it does not say DOT on the LENSE, then they are illegal...period

Rep Power: 388 who said they were brighter, the dude on ebay? Thoes LED's, they may really be less bright then the stocks, esp from a slight angle. What is the visible angle on the LED's??

Rep Power: 0 ok i dont really care what other people think. I like them. There is a harness that is included so i can hook up the leds directly to the factory plug. Is it illegal to have a clear turn signal bulb. I am going to smoke out the tail lights.

Rep Power: 290 Your turn signal will not act like it's on crack for the following reasons. What they're referring to is "hyperflash" where it flashes very quickly. This will not occur with this light because a) the turn signal in this is an incandescent bulb, only the marker/brake light is led, and b) even if the turn signal was LED, it still wouldn't hyperflash because the front turn signal bulb will act as a resistor, so your flasher doesn't go nuts. I tried LEDs in my turn signal, and only had hyperflashing when the front and back were both LED, no issue with just the back. I had those bulbs in for about a day, and hated them and went back to stock. IMO, these lights are a bit ricey, but it's your car, and your $$. Also, they MAY look decent if you smoke them, i'm not sure. If you do get these, make sure you use a red or amber bulb for your brake/signal, as any other color is illegal. And if you end up smoking these, post up some pics. Good luck.
Edit: Reverse lights are always clear, and should be on this too. Also, there is a slightly different version of this light out there too, probably by the same manufacturer, where the top lens is red too, so it's just the white strip across the middle. I think that version looks better, but still not great.
