wiring a alpine 310 into 04 ex coupe?
hey guys any one wired there alpine 310 touch screen them selfes. i think i need a bypass black box also so i can have it on while im driving..???
did you look in the owners manual my girlfriend has the iva d900 i think thats the number at least and it says how to bypass the e brake feature it just gives a big warning that its illegal in most states and is dangerous. i didnt install hers but i did install my pioneer avic n1 dvd navigation it was a pain in the ***......
does yours work on like you have to have your e-brake up so the screen is on....cuz thats how my jensen is.....alls i did was take the wire for the e-brake and connected it to a switch...on the other wire (on your e-brake the screw that holds the switch) screw that wire into that screw wit a splice of some sort....so the switch acts as another e-brake switch....if you have problems pm me and i'll send you a pic of what i mean

ok kooo that sounds koo.. so about teh whole install is that easy? i would ike to do it my sefl but it looks a little difficult. just wondering if anyone else has done it?
i've done many iva-d310's.
the brake sequence to override the screen should be:
1. hold brake in
2. pull handbrake
3. release handbrake
4. pull handbrake
5. release foot brake
you need a bypass module to bypass this
PAC makes one. just do a google for PAC alpine bypass.
most of the other wiring takes place at the brain that comes with it. very similar to wiring up any radio. you just might have to extend the wires/antenna.
good luck
its the PAC TR-7 btw

yo don't need to buy that the only reason you can watch it its cuz the e-brake wire just gets a signal no power or anything just a signal....and if you don't believe me get a wire tester and touch the wire....there is no power just signal...so if anyone has problems i can show you pics how to wire it up wit out buying stuff

just wire it through a switch to ground for the whole watch while you drive thing but other then that ive never done one sorry lol. wow this was a pointless post by me
if its one of the older units where you wire it to the ebrake just ground the wire. If you got one of the newer units that has more to it u need a bypass. If you got one of the newer units that uses the gps feature to know if your car is moving or not then that one i have yet to figure out
