Restoring grip on leather steering wheel..

Ever since I bought my car the leather steering wheel has been really smooth and slippery. Is there a way to restore some grip or add some tackiness to it?

Try a leather steering wheel cover. I just bought a steering wheel with a cover and am actually impressed by the feel. I believe the previous owner said it is a Wheel Skins, and they make them for a Civic wheel.

See if you can borrow a hand-held steamer from someone. The leather is probably just dry and needs some moisture. Worth a shot.

Try rubbing some Dr. Martens Beeswax into the steering wheel cover. Might be good to do at night and let it sit for 7, 8 hours.

I wouldn't suggest driving right away as it may be a slippery hazard. If you let it sit all night with a thin paste on the cover, then wipe the excess off in the morning, you should be good to go. May have to do it more than once or at least monthly.

yeah I've had a ricer steering wheel cover over it due to the slipperiness. I think the dealer used Armour All on it. I look into these wheel skins.
