raise hood
why do some people raise the hood like near the windsheild. i see some pics of people having k-series engine with ITB's with a open area for them which make sense cause there facing forward. but others dont have ITB or any cut out on there hood but have it raise? porque?

the raised hood creates negative air pressure at the back of the engine bay. this negative air pressure is like a vaccum causing the air in the engine bay to be sucked out.
just imagine someone smoking inside a car when they're driving. they only open a crack of the window so the smoke gets sucked out when they're driving.
get the point?

lol... it cools temperatures under your hood , but it doesnt escape from where the hood is raised. air travels through that opening and comes out under the chasis (when in motion). when your at a red light is pretty much the only time youll have hot air from the engine bay escape from the opening
