yea 6000k hids whats that. you like driving with blue light that blinds everyone? i really doubt you are talking about an oem projector setup with philips ultinon bulbs that go for $250 just for the bulbs. more likely that youre talking about a cheap ricer kit on ebay that puts glare everywhere and is illegal.

im not sure how you derived from that conclustion.

you dont get glare with projectors...that is why they are the best way to go if u want HID w/o a retrofit....

projectors have a cutoff shield which prevents glare....(as long as its beamed/aimed down correctly)

for example... H1 halogen projector w/ H1 HID kit will produce ALOT more light output than a H1 halogen projector w/ H1 halogen silvastar/$50+ bulb.

if you were talking about throwing some HIDs in a non oem reflector based setup.....then it would produce MAD GLARE...

and you people who suggest 6000k...thats not that great of a light output...

i would stick with 5000k or below...best is 4300k.....and they DO make aftermarket 4300k bulbs

OEM projector HID > OEM reflector hid > halogen projector w/ hid kit > HIDs w/ reflector (sometimes mad glare) > halogen headlight setup

i think you need to go study some more about how light optics work. start by looking at the differences between hid and halogen bulb.

yes your right about the light output of the 6000K...its not as great as 4300K or 5000K, but the 6000K was the look he was looking for when he said about the "BMW look"

But anyway im confused about wat your tryin to say GEARBOX...

halogen and hid bulb do not put out light the same way. therefore the beam pattern will be completely off when you try and use an hid bulb in a housing designed for halogen light optics. there are projectors and reflectors that are made differently for each light source. im trying to find a pic of how terrible hid bulb kit looks in halogen projector but i mustve lost it.
