WHy..because your power steering pump underload can use up to 3 hp of your engines power... Remove the belt.. Makes it dam hard to steer, frees up a few horses..

Oh My!!!! you want to remove the PS belt to gain HP???? I can only imagine you racing into a tight turn and not able to steer. You know that even most "track only race cars" have PS for a reason. Leave it ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think it only makes it harder to steer when your car is idling, not when already in motion.

I have th belt off. And let me tell you that i think it is worth it. MIght be me but when i put the belt back on i noticed that i feel kind of safer with out the belt so I took it off again. ( i can feel the car better, especialy on tide turns, what i am saying it is easier to lose control with power steering) I say it is more gain then Intake so I think it is worth it. But that is me, some people hve different preferences. Peace out.
