emanage not working!! HELP!

emanage not working!! HELP! hey guys. well i wired in my emanage and the car runs like ****. pretty sure all the jumpers are right and i used rotary 4 8 E but the car ran really shitty so i ran 4 8 C and it ran a little bit better. with 48E the car couldnt really even move anywhere but with 48C the car could go but it was realllllyyy sluggish. when i turn my car on both the interaction light and the active light blink simultaniously even though the cable is not linked with the computer. on the support tool it says that the emanage is ONLINE but when i try to update to the latest firmware it doesnt progress. the bar doesnt go up any and the time keeps rolling up, longest i waited was like 10 minutes and the bar didnt progress any.. HELP! i disconnected pin 12 on emanage also as the support tool manual said. when the emanage is online on the support tool i cant even open amy maps. the MAP SELECT drop down thing is empty and nothing shows up even though the support tool says ONLINE. even in the setting part of the support tool i cant bring up my current main unit setting or nothing. i wired up everything according to post #54 on the emanage faq. i even left out the vtec wires so all its wired up for is afr. help me out im stuck!

i double checked my jumpers and rotary and all is correct according to the emanage faq. all jumpers are correct, running 4-8-C. interaction light lights up even though its not connected however the support tool switches to offline/online when i connect and disconnect. i upgraded support tool to 1.49 and emanage is blank obviously. i dont know what to do! =/

Rep Power: 271 i read a tread on the same problem i was having. hyaboosta came up with a solution about messing with the computers settings for COM ports. i am not very computer inclined so can you help me out? =/ thanks

did you wire it yourself or use a P&P harness? are you using a usb to serial adapter, or just serial? it's normal for the 'active' and 'interaction' lights to blink when the car is on, even when not linked up.

Rep Power: 271 i have the cable that came with the support tool, from greddy. i wired it up myself but even if i wired it up wrong and the unit still has power shouldnt i be able to update the emanage firmware anyway? ??

Rep Power: 271 ^^ does your support tool read the emanage? even though my support tool says online, i cant look at any of the maps, look at my main unit settings or anything. its completely blank. the only thing i can really try and do is update the unit.

Rep Power: 271 this is pissing me off. i even went through the lengths of getting another computer to windows 98, still didnt work, i have a feeling that its my emanage. i think i got ripped off

Rep Power: 271 .... i PMed dezod yesterday, hope he comes through with something. i emailed greddy and told them the situation. i also asked them if i can send in the emange and they can repair it or something. hopefully i can get emanage running soon cuz it made me miss midnight mayhem already

Rep Power: 0 your emanage is not broken, the firmware takes a long time to load, it took me 2 hours to load the firmware to emanage 1.49 version. messing with com ports till u get the support tool software to come online then load up the firmware, let it load up, if ur laptop is running out of battery u better hook it up to power, it takes a long time, but once firm ware is loaded emanage is a lot faster as far as importing and exporting data.... good luck
