Oem Keyless Entry
I have an 04 EX Coupe and was wondering if all EX models came with the keyless entry system? When I bought my car it didn't come with any remote so I'm not sure if I have keyless or not. I seen on a different thread that I should look for a green plug or something. Also since I don't have a remote, should any remote for the 02-04 model work? I was planning on just buying one from ebay and trying one of those. I was going to buy an alarm but I'd rather just buy a remote for now if I already have the keyless entry installed? Anybody know?
There's one way to find out for sure. Try to find the Keyless receiver unit. It is located in the center of the dash, you need to remove the underdash panel and radio to access it. The harness plugged into it is a 5 pin harness with four wires coming out of it.
black, blue/orange, white/red, yellow (or yellow/green)
The last wire will be yellow if it came from factory with the keyless, yellow/green if the keyless was added by Honda at the dealership. If it was added at the dealership there will be two 2A fuses in the fusebox under the driver's side of the dash.
If you want to get the remote and try to program it, I've got some programming instructions but you should try these first.

Fantastic instructions for installing a factory keyless can be found at H and A as well. You could certainly follow the steps to see if the keyless receiver is already installed.

Thanks for the info. I did look last night and found that my car does have the factory keyless unit. I got my fcc number off the box and ordered a controller off ebay last night. Hopefully it works when I get the controller.
