Rep Power: 0 1. Go out to your car and look at the grill opening. Get something to put up to it so that you can make yourself a template out of cardboard or even just a big sheet of paper.
2. Go to your local hardware store and buy some mesh, tin snips, and thin silver wire. Make sure it's not too flimsy.
3. Mark mesh with template and cut out with tin snips that you bought in step 2.
4. Take bumper off of the car and hold grill in place. Run some wire that you bought in step 2 through one of the holes in one of the corners of the mesh and run it behind the black stuff on the bumper. Get two ends of wire back there and twist tight enough to hold grill against bumper firmly.
5. Repeat step 4 for all remaining corners of the mesh.
6. Put bumper back on car. Voila. DIY lower grill...

Did it take alot of trimming and retouching? I tried the template way once, but ended up going back and forth from the car to recutting/trimming so much. I ended up handling the mesh too much and it bent. Clumsy me!

Rep Power: 0 << I know this is off topic here, but why did you swap your AEM CAI for an Injen CAI? >>
I just wanted to try something different. I got the Injen RD in blue for $135 brand new from a friend that owns a shop. It's awesome to buy wholesale....

Rep Power: 0 whiterice: Yes, it did take lots of trimming...
I luckly had a set of sheatmetal cutters, which made the trimming easy as butter.
I still think my trimming was really bad, so I might just do it again and be very exact this time.
