question regarding ground control coilovers
i just bought some ground control coilovers for my 2002 civic coupe and when i opened the box the springs were half the size of my stock springs i thought coilovers were suppose to raise ur car up or down but the way the springs look i can only go down because once i install them the car will already be lowered that is my opinion though i havent installed them yet but can anyone who has ground controls on their car tell me how high can they raise their car will it still look stock or will it still look lowered even though i raise the car all the way up

it would help alot if someone can answer my question

yes your car will be significantly lower than it what it was stock...I have Ground Controls on my Si and at the very top it still sits high enough that im not scraping and tire gap dosnt look too bad. But you will be able to tell its lowered.

hmmmm....i thought that with GroundControl's if you have the spring perch at its highest setting the car would be only slightly lower than stock (if at all)..? could it be different on 7th Gen Civics than your Si perhaps? cause i was gonna get GC's when i get Koni's but if they lower my car at the highest setting i probly wont do it.
the ground controls had a problem with their first design. In this first design the car would be able to ride at stock height but the sleaves would ware away at the threads for the adjustment. It used to be that you had to send for replacement sleaves that were shorted to avoid this problem but now all of the kits they send out for our cars have the shorter sleaves. That is why you can't run at the stock ride height
if your raise the front coils to the highest setting your car would be very close to stock high but not quite there, but the back you can't raise it anything close to stock height...even if you raise the back to the highest setting it'll be about 3 finger wheel gap but probably less than that...
