backseat removal...
Why does the backseat have to be gone?
To remove it tilt down the backs and on the lower, inner corner of the smaller side there is a little velcro flap, lift it up and remove the two bolts. Pull that section out. Remove the bolt holding on the second back and slide that off as well. THere is one bolt holding down the seat bottom. It is right in the middle, back of the seat. In the front of the seat there are two latches that you just have to pull up on to pop out the seat.
Very simple. Good luck.

fold the seats down, look on the bottom right of the seat on the 40 and lift up the lil flap. unbolt it and take out the 40 seat. then take out 60 seat. n the bottom part, you should be able to just pull it up.

i'd say maybe 40 for the seats +25 for the spare and 5 for the jack
for a total of 70 but im not taking out the spare
that's the whole point of taking out the back seats so i would have to

Taking out the spare, jack & toolkit is a heck of a lot easier to do than taking the seats out. Easier to store also. And the weight savings is more than the seats. I don't think our seats in the back weigh that much at all. The front passenger though will save you some weight. Does anyone know exactly how much the whole back seat saves in weight? Thanks.
i don't think it's 40 for the seats. the bottom part weighs about 1 pound. the backs probably way about 10 each. that's barley 20 or so. i helped the best buy retard take mine out, he didn't know crap about my car and was about to break things when i stepped in. then he put my seat belt buckles in backwards. damn i hate best buy.
