I just picked up a set of Bosch plantinum 2's for my 04 dx couple. I have not put them in yet. The guy told me that the oem plugs were platinum and these are a recommended replacement. I paid like 10 bucks for the set of 4. All this stuff about copper cores, platinum tips, etc. is confusing the hell out of me. I have a pretty much stock, NA engine, save the the AEM SRI. The last time i put plugs in something, it was my first car, built in 89. I don't care if my plugs are iridium, platinum, kryptonite or plutonium. Will this $10 set of plugs be good for my car or should i take them back and spend an extra 30 bucks on something else?? Additional info: my car has about 31k on it, i just bought it, i don't know how the last owner drove, and i tend to drive fast sometimes, depending on my mood. I'd prefer to gain, or at least maintain performance, rather than lose it by changing my plugs. What should i do??

The OE plugs are supposedly good for 110K. I think its BS, but the Bosch platinum plugs are fine. I used them before I boosted the car.
BOSCH.....IMHO, not for hondas or japanese cars...IMHO.
i think you should go with NGK iridium IX or just NGK single platinum...
denso IK-20 (iridium) is good but very expensive....better go with NGK iridium IX.
stock platinum from dealer...yea...that's a good one...but i dunno why they charge so much for each of em...it's like $11+ each.
just a tip.....i think u should torque the plugs to 18Nm instead of 13lb-ft....set your torque wrench to 17.9lb-ft, lol.
