best bet, get the oem system off handa-accessories.com... and Do It Yourself
or go get an alarm system installed...

its not hard to do it yourself if you dont mind taking your door appart. you will ahave to buy the locks from either honda or a place like best buy that sells the remote and locks. I did it on my 93 civic...your 2k1 should have remote entry..well maybe...i am not sure what all the models offer. i kinda figured that was standard..i guess not tho...

Whoa, you don't have to take your door apart for keyless entry. I put one in and its really easy. Just take your time and check out the instructions that they give you. Honestly, I think I knocked mine out in less than a half hour, and I love having keyless entry. Go for it. Send me an email if you have more questions.
