Turn Signal question

I want it to be like the Asia version Civic... to turn on only when I signal. Any idea how to do it/what to change?

My friend did that with his 2k1 civic. He's at work right now, but I'll ask him tomorrow on how he wired his lights.

Just buy a single filament bulb for your blinker instead of the stock dual-filament bulb. That way it only comes on when blinking, no parking light... I think the bulbs are 7440?... correct me if I'm wrong anyone...

I have them on mine, it is sweet, I bought the single filament superwhite bulb, and had to bend one filament to the otherside. (they have to be on the same side), install it with your lights on so you know which setting your putting it on, or else it will stay on and won't blink.

Just put a piece of electrical tape over the contacts that you don't want. That's what I did. Now It's only on when signalling.

When I cleared my headlights, my lights only come on when I signal now..... NO IDEA WHY.... Probably a fuse somewhere... NO I did not change my bulbs.... Wierd Maybe a defect in my HX.... oh well, I have one complaint about it though, sometimes it's hard to see when you are changing lanes a night in a dark area.

That's my .02

there be 3 wires going to the turn signal...

ground, turn power and parking power

The black wire is ground, the red wire is parking power, and I think the other is either yellow or green, which is for turn power.

I wouldn't suggest cutting any wires, would be a bitch to connect again if you needed it.
Also, two of the contacts are ground. Just get a volt meter and test it out. should be easy as cake.

I just cut my constant light wire =). I never thought of getting a 7440 though, would have been better.
