What would happen if...?
What would happen if I just changed the muffler using the stock piping. I don't want to give up any low end or top end power aka tq and hp. Getting a free'r flowing muffler..will this change my power band anywhere? I don't want to spend the money on a full exhaust system. Please advise..Thanks in advance

No..I just want to change the muffler (universal) So what you're saying is only the sound will change? That's all I'm looking for. I'm happy with no changes in tq and hp

Hold up, check it out. If you replace just the muffler, the sound of the vehicle will be different altogether. You will not loose horsepower, you will not loose torque. You can only gain performance when opening up the exhaust (to a certian extent of course) However, the change is going to be so minimal that you will probably not notice anything in daily driving.

Just get an axle back setup from ebay or whatever, two bolts and you're done. I did mine without even jacking the car up (before it was lowered) I've had mine for over two years, and that cost me about 140 bucks. Its all stainless, so it's holding up fine, and it sounds good.

Ok,
So basically we are talking about having a little I4 but still want to sound like V6 or whatever high performance engine. So that someone can think the Civic can perfomra like G35 because of what they hear.
I get it now.

No...I'm was just saying that to make analogy about how it "sounds" like a V6 not to fool anyone, BUT if someone would really think that...then they don't know anything about cars..Period

Yeah..I want the low rumble of the 60 series flowmaster, but without giving up lowend power like I did with my Injen intake that I took off.
I just want to read a review on our cars with this muffler to see if I really want it. The guy at work is pretty dumb when it comes to noticing a difference stock vs. flowmaster

my exhaust is evay.. a dollar for the exaust and 25 shipping.. they calles it n1 but reaceived a fireball,. wth??. anyways.. u wont notice the gain.. prolly a lil i think only if u have an intake (thats how i understand it) intake + muffler = better airflow.. am i right??
its pretty much for looks and sound. no change. and it isnt that loud at all. i did that before but then changed the piping. not loud at crising speed and it is only loud when you accelerate fast.

No I don't have one on yet, but the guy at work has one. Sounds deep and powerfull...I just don't want to buy it if robs me of lowend like my intake did. He's not that bright to tell me if he noticed any diffrence. He's a ricer that thinks "oooh I have a new muffler..nobody can beat me now"...That's how dumb he is. That's why I'm asking you guys and gals if you have had any experience with the flowmaster.
