Hey all...

I wanna start modding my Civic (don't we all) but I wanted to start with the handling first. It seems like the DC Sports and/or the Neuspeed Strut Bars are very common. On this site specifically I have seen mostly DC Sports products, so I had a question...

Do any of you with the strut bar feel a difference?

Also, how much difference does the rear lower tie bar make?

If it makes a difference, I have an EX Coupe.

with stock springs and struts..the strut bar doesn't make any rear difference.. same as the rear lower tie bar (slightly noticable).. If you lower your car though.. a Strut bar is reccomended..specially if you use much stiffer springs..

I have one of those generic strut bars, and I notice a difference in the handling. Dont have aftermarket springs though, but I notice a different w/ the bar. I'm able to take turns a bit faster, and it doesnt feel like I'm gonna slide off the road when cornering fast.

Well if u want to save some money then u can get a generic stru bar and they work jsut as good as the dc sports but the only problem is that if u get an intake then u have to take the bar off and u either have to get a dc sport or u ride with no bar. I use to have one but i had to take it off for my intake it sucks now becaue my car is slammed and the strut bar really really helps on handling. So they are a good investment.

I have a dc sports strut tower bar. I can tell a difference on my car. all bars are about the same except the type of metal they use. Like dc and neuspeed uses t66 alum. which is lighter than regular alum.

With a front strut bar, handling is slightly different. In the future, if you have DC sturt bar, you can install almost any kind of SRI. With generic strut bar, you only can use Injen SRI.
With the rear strut bar, I didn't feel any different

If you plan on getting an intake in the future, just be sure you get the Neuspeed or the DC Sports, the straight ones wont fit around the intake, whereas the Neuspeed and DC sports will fit nicely.....and yes they do make a big difference....

Well, I've had the DC Sports front upper strut bar on my 2k2 ex (no drop or other suspension mods) for a whole whopping day now, and I can tell you...it doesn't make THAT big of a difference...I think I DO feel a >>SMALL<< difference in tight turns, but it was certainly less than what I was hoping for given how much they cost. It does LOOK really nice, though, and admittedly, that was one of the things that convinced me to buy it. Oh well, I guess you get what you pay for...

In any case, the rear lower tie should be delivered any day now, so I will let you know if that makes any additional difference

If you have a 2k2 ex, if I recall, we have an extra antisway bar...that could explain why some folks feel a bigger difference with different years or trim models of our car...just my guess, though...

Im just about to put on my skunk2 coil overs and 17inch rimz, but im not sure what strut barz im going to put on right now... OBX seems to be quite cheaper than DC but will there be a performence diff? cuz for me its all bout performence! gotta have the best = )
I'm planning to have a Injen intake though so I guess if its OBX it ll fit it right?
