I know there's like 3497834289 threads on how to do it, and I did it 2 years ago, but I forgot how. It's also the best, easiest DIY ever. I just remember you have to hold down certain buttons when you start the car or something. It's like a video game code

I told this lady at the dealership about it and she's like "no, you can't turn off the AC when the defroster is on." I go "yes you can. There's a secret code. Bwahahaha." But she didn't have time to go see my car so I could show her. Oh well.

^ yeah, but if that doesn't work, try this (found in another thread)

1. have the car off and hold down the a/c and air circulation button
2. start the car and have it held down for 5-10 secs and then release,
3. you should see it blink, now you should be able to turn it off whenever you want. even though it is best to use a/c to defrost, but its your car

????if the a/c isn't on to defrost you're not defrosting anything...you're just recirculating the ambient air....

They're talking about the front defroster, not the rear one.
I think I might do this since it won't hurt anyting. Can you turn it back on by doing the same thing?
