Clearing Headlights + Glue = PROBLEMS!!

I have heard beofre that people have thrown their headlights in the oven to get them to come a part. Is this true? And if so, what TEMP and how long.

My lights have a **** load of glue and they are not playing nice. I don't want to be to agressive and risk breaking something. Help me!!

I heard to preheat to 200, stick them in there for 5 minutes and then turn the oven off and leave them in there for another 3 minutes with it cooling down

if it doesn't pull apart, it needs more oven time. 5-10 mins at 250F should do it but check them often. when its ready, they will pull apart fairly easily. get some gloves or you'll burn yourself

Gearbox to the rescue, again!! Thanks man. You are a GOD!!!

01HonderCivic: ummm............ya, that part was already taken care of. if you managed to look at that DIY yourself and READ IT, you will notice there is NOTHING in it explaining about excessive glue problems. been there done that.

Yeah, I know. That's why I put in what I'd heard about the oven. If it was covered in the DIY why would I say it twice?

So he says almost the exact same thing I did but yet he gets credit?
