tire balancing
if i don't balance my tires (2nd hand rims) will it do a lot of damage to my car? since right now i notice that the steering wheel starts to vibrate at high speed
( speed > 60mph )
i've done a search on this and came up with nothing...

You are looking at premature bearing and ball joint failure, along with the tie rods. Plus this has to be uncomfortable and somewhat scarey as heck.
Balancing will only cost you 30-50 bucks total? Give me one good reason you would not want them balanced? Heck, the tire store I buy all my stuff from did it for free just because he was a little slow and I asked nicely. And three of them were unbalanced according to the machine. It rides much nicer, no vibration at 100+ speeds and I feel much more in control.
