Headlight Painting - Gloss, Satin Or Flat?
Not sure which black to go with, can someone post pictures? Also, which is used for the aftermarket lights? I like those. I think I'm going to try this very soon provided I don't need anything more than screwdrivers, sockets, sandpaper and paint. Also, should I cover it with a clearcoat?

well it depends on the color of your car:
if its black---do black
basically anything else do black or graphite
i didnt do high temp paint and mine hasnt flaked at all; just make sure you prime it about 2-3 coats and paint 3 coats

the engine paint looks fantastic. i knew a guy who painted his 240SX with that stuff and it looked stupidly good. i thought for sure he was gonna make a mess of it painting his whole car but it looked real clean and sharp.

Eventually I want to paint the whole top half of my car black, from just below the door handles up. And I'll be tinting the windows and getting some blacked out altezzas. But only after some wheels and a drop.
your color is magnesium metallic
i have the same color.
just do flat black or something a very dark grey, i will be donig mine in a couple of weeks and im going to do mine a very dark grey/gunmetal colour so it will match my rims

Though other suggestions might be to ask a neighbor
Or perhaps or rent a heatgun. That or take your sweet time with a blow-dryer. heh i found/made the perfect paint that does it jdm bronze color =)
oh and btw, dont use silicone if you ever want to open the headlights again.. use 3m windoweld, you can get a tube at your local auto parts place. its the same sealant used for oem headlights.
