5w20 oil to thin for summer
i am worried that the 5w20 is to thin for summer driving. When you got the a/c running, your doing about 120km/h up a steep grade and its about 90 outside, 5w20 oil is just going to thin right out. maybe 5w30 is better. any thoughts guys?? normally i would use synthetic and then wouldn't have to worry about the problem but the car is too new.
sorry for digging but i wanted to reply
5w20 is fine for summer, but what i wanted to know is why cant you use synthetics in a new car? leave the honda oil in for breakin, thats true, but there is nothing wrong with runnin synths after that... i have

Because Synthetic oils won't allow for proper valve seating and pil ring break in.. after your second oil change it is perfectly fine and reccomended to change to Synthetic oil for maximum lubrication and wearprevention.
