i had an old cone air filter i wanted to throw on my gf's 99 corolla, because the shape of the stock system is oddly convenient. anyways, there are 2 lines going into the filter box. and i wanted to know what they are. 1 looks like some kinda of sensor. i know on my old gsr, there were 2 lines i plugged into the CAI i had, but neither was a sensor. does one of them run to a sensor somewhere? i wasnt planning on leaving them disconnected, i would just like to know what exactly im working with.

well there could be an intake air temp sensor, a MAF (mass air flow) sensor, a breather tube, or other air related sensors.

is there any significance to the location of the sensor and breather tube?
im guessing its the air temp sensor because of the size/shape is nothing like MAF sensors ive seen.

nope on my new intake actually both breather and air temp is about a foot away from the tb instead of an inch like before. as long as they are attached then youre fine
