Downpipe really necessary?
I have an 01 EX, OBX header and an exhaust running from the flange just behind the cat. i am pretty sure the downpipe and header will fit, i have not looked into that in a long time.
1) do you think i need to get a downpipe, or is it not worth the trouble and effort?
2)and what about the sensors, do you really need them for the car to run properly??!?!???

1. No I dont think you need to get a downpipe because it really wont give you any gain in power. Also the stock downpipe has the cat converter in it so you need to find another one with a cat converter in it (part of it) (random tech has on).
2. Yes the 2 o2 sensors are necessary. the front o2 sensor measures the 02 coming out of the engine and based on that will send a signal to the ECM which will lean out or richen up the fuel mixture. the secondary o2 sensor monitors the cat converter and will signal the ECM if it isnt working correctly. Both will turn on the check engine light if not there.
