Chamber question

Now I frequent this board alot and I have read most of the DIY though I would never try most of them. i read the DIY for the chamber kit. I noticed that our cars have a negative chamber on them stock. Do most cars have the chamber off?? I have noticed that most car's tires don't go straight up and down but are a little tilted. Why do car companies make them off? Is there any advantage to having them corrected?? Thanks

A tiny bit of negative Camber is good for handling. When the tires angle in, it provides more of a grip for the
car to the ground. The advantage is better handling, the disadvantage is uneven and premature tire wear if the camber
is bad enough. I got my car lowerd a couple of days ago, only 1.5" and noticed the tires camber more in the back and I will get an Alignment kit to fix them. I don't know what is a good and a bad angle of camber, but I would prefer the tires go straight up and down....

I got the Goldline Springs....pretty much exactly a 1.5" drop. Went to Jotech, they were $250 Installed.

I can't wait to get some 17's on there then it will look really nice!!

Yeh, they will laugh at you, bot only if it is really noticaeable. There is supposed to be some and if you lower the car
there should be more, obviously....but it is rather easy to fix, so girls won't laugh at you and call you a wuss

having too much negative camber will reduce traction as there will be less area of contact between the tires and ground

the advantage of negative camber is easier turning for the tires, thus the better handling
