Need help with DIY amp install on factory...

Hi,

I need help with a amp install on my factory deck, I have searched but couldn't find anything useful. I am going to install a Rockford P2002 amp, and here is what I know so far. I have to run the power wire, ground, LOC(line output converter) from rear speakers, and I was told I need to run an "Ignition line" from the cd player or main vehicle ignition harness to the remote on the lead of the amp.

My question is how do I run an "Ignition line", or whatever line that is needed to the remote on the amp. Any helpful pictures would be great.

thanks

you want to tap into a wire that turns on when the ignition is turned on. I have used the cig lighter wire before and had no problems but other members say they have had problems with that method.

Do the cigarette lighter thing too, I did this a while back when I had my stock unit.
