Exclamation Anyone know how to advance timings on a 05 Civic.

I have a 2005 civic si (EX) usa. i read about how you can advance timings by turning something 8 to 16 degrees. ANd also whats with the OBD stuff that people talk about, what does that mean?

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

to answer your Q, aftermarket sprocket is the only way on our newer civic.

you can make the valve tighter and seat closer, this will give you more power, but power=wear.

ignition timing = aftermarket ecu, cam timing = adjustable cam gear. neither is required unless you are making at least 50whp over stock (ie turbo or nitrous). obd = onboard vehicle diagnostics, basically a way to regulate how the car works that triggers those check engine lights.
