Crower Stage 2 and ECU Issues

After christmas I may be buying the Crower Stage 2 Cam and Retainers and Springs. Can the stock ECU keep up with the changes made by the cam? I would think our ECU to be too touchy. Would I need a VAFC controller to do a slight tune?

Any help would be helpfull

I called TRUEHONDA and spoke with a rep about this exact issue! Only I already have a 4puck clutch and a VAFC2. And was wondering if this would be sufficent enough for tuning. The rep told me tuning would be no issue with just stage 2 N/A only. Now if your boosted you would definitally need a e-manag. He told me to worry more about my clutch then my cams! Just my oppinion

cwick187 is an unknown quantity at this point
From what I have read on other post, you will need the EMS to tune....IF you don't, you will have serious idle problems...Best to just save up for turbo instaed of almost $2000+ for cam, retainer springs, EMS, install and tuning...I was going to get the cam, but it's just not cost effective enough to me when I can get a used turbo system and get so much more power than the N/A route...That's just my opinion though

Oh, one more. I don't even know if anyone has gotten there car properly tuned with the EMS and cam, so I would sit back and wait to see what happens before you make any decisions

mine is getting tuned as we speak the only problem i am having now is ems is not wanting to engage vtec. But without tuning my car was extremely rich at idle and it would die but i think with emanage you could be safe.

allmotor can only hope to improve
u CAN use the apexi safc or vafc but emanage is better and aem ems is better. If its all u can use right now its then its fine just get it tuned. People talk hella **** on the apexi controllers on here and people been using them for yrs, and so far the ems that i have read on this site hasnt performed as it should.

the problem with using the vafc is the cam allows you to wind out to 8k rpms and you stock revlimiter wont let you go past 7k. so if you go this route your not utilizing the cam to its true potential nor will you gain the power expected.
