Hookup 747 landing lights to car

my friends dad's friend did that to his car somehow. and when someone pissed him off, he'd flash the 747 (yes, those commercial planes) landing lights. they were so bright, the people would have to pull over cuz they be blinded. and he only flashes them for like a second.. maybe even less. i want that done to my car somehow.. so if im losing in a race *flip* turn on those bad boys and blind my opponent and win

You´ll need LOTS of energy, and of course airplane lights, you know where to get them??? if you can hook up could you tell me how much they were??? You could also put them in the rear and when a cop tries to pull you over you flash them, see ya mr. cop hehehehhehe

First off, this can be done, this is what you'd need.
1) 747 Landing lights, haha, I saw a set once actually when I had a Jeep
2) Need a fairly large relay that can handle probably nearly 70 amps (something tells me that these lights are close to 800 watts)
3)8 aug wire (or so, I forget the ratings on wire, i think 10 is good for 20 amps or so (200 watts))
4) Find a place to mount them, and wire the switch

Forgive me if some of these seem off as it's been years since I did any sort of high amperage wiring of lights such as here.
Peace

I've been in aviation for 14 years, and I can say this with certainty ... be prepared to pay out the *ss for those lights. It's possible, but not worth doing. If you get caught by the cops, they will ticket you for sure. Plus, those lights draw serious current.

i saw a car with some seriously bright lights one night comming home from work. dunno if they were the 747 lights or what, but there's this pitch black spot with no freeway lights, and he turned them on next to me and it seemed like my lights were off and it was daylight outside. everything for a full 180 degrese was light up. he was going like 40 on the freeway, so i couldn't pass him.

I think SCC did something like this for the Rally beater project car. The only problem they had was that the lights would get so hot, when water splashed on them they would shatter. It would be cool to see though, if you do it I definately want to see pics!
