oem side skirt metal bracket removal...
hey guys i'm trying to put my car back to stock...i'm removing the oem side skirts right now and kind of stuck on how to take off the metal brackets that are double sided taped to the car...is there any easy way to take it off or should i just bend the crap out of it and rip it off my car??? any tricks to this??

Lacquer thinner will take off the clear coat and possibly the paint itself if you are not REALLY carefull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rep Power: 0 Please explain to me how a fast evaporating solvent like thinner is going to remove a thermoset clear. He's removing tape residue, not washing his car with thinner. I wish I could count how many times I took a rag with thinner and wiped off spray paint on a car from vandalism. Followed up with some polish and it was done, no paint damage.

I have used it, you have used it, but you have to be careful. If you have experience, its no problem.
Rember for most people-more is better -so I don't want him to "soak" off the tape residue.(and his paint)
