might have done something stupid
Hey everyone,
I think I just did something stupid. I just bought a complete pedal assembly (clutch, brake, accel.) on eBay for like $20, and I didn't realize it was out of a 96. Is there any chance that it will fit my 04? I know the chances are slim, but I thought I would ask before I kicked myself for wasting $20.
Thanks,
Zach

WOW! You're doing a transmission swap with new pedals?! They should work.. I think. I don't think they're made for certain cars.. I think they're universal. Like if you go to Murry's or Pepboys I don't think they have the name and year of the car for all cars.. I THINK! I might be wrong!
spell check pwns you

also this isnt a trannyswap by far.

I have many of the needed components. I was just trying to get the pedal assemblies FOR my tranny swap. I have the actual tranny, shift cables, gauge cluster, manual ecu, master and slave cylinders, and the shifter assembly. I was just hoping to get out cheap on the pedals, but I guess that's no go.
The K is coming some time next year. For right now, I need to do a manual swap because the auto is killing me. I'm running 19psi right now, and the auto tranny isn't very happy about that.
I've paid around $9000 for the turbo kit with port and polish on the head, sleeves, pistons, Eagle rods, header guard. 19psi is really not all that high. I still would like to run that on a k20 instead. My friend has an Eagle Talon TSI that he's running between 27 and 29psi at peak. So, comparatively 19 is not very high. Plus, I don't care if I completely destroy this block, because I'll just get a new one when I do.

see when you talk like this, this is what you get
and if you wasted 9grand for a full set up like you saying for a d17 then you my friend got took to the cleaners! and you think 19psi is not much ha! that just shows how much BS your throwing out! and dont ever compare a d17 next to a talon motor thats like apples and oranges. and if you are going come in here and talk all that blah blah ****, bring proof.so with that said
