Air Element Problem

Sorry guys i wanted to kno if anyone knew the link to this DIY...i broke the hosing in which the bolts go on the air element(which i wus stupid to force after they torqued the damn thing) the car isnt under warranty so i want to do it myself...does anyone kno step by step how to take this out so i can replace it...it would be cool if there were pictures in this DIY...o yea this is a 03 civic ex m/t transmission....this car kicks *** as i blow by camaros and shitty mustangs...V8 my ***!!

the housing that holds the cover broke and i still cant get that **** off even if i take the bolts that hold the whole thing down...is there a bolt im missing?

there should be like 8 bolts or so and 1 in the middle. you remove those and it should come off.

u blow by camaro's and mustangs? what do you have under ur hood? cuz i have a D18 and it has barley any power, esp torque...so u must have a d50? >_>

nope juss a 30 mph start and it roars past them....i duno if its shitty cars cause they seem to be new...im juss running a short shifter on my car

ive tried keeping up with mustangs and camaros and yeah that was a lost cause. did you do a ricer flyby?

Alright, back on topic... OP, same thing happened to my car. You've broken the mounts for the airbox lid screws, and there isn't really anything you can do about it but replace the part. I ended up buying a used airbox from someone who installed an aftermarket intake here on the forums to replace it, and I've just been extremely careful not to overtighten the screws. I believe I actually broke off the old airbox lid in order to replace it with the new part. Good luck.
