Air bypass valve question

Rep Power: 0 I was told by the guy that sold me my AEM cai (APEX Sports) that it should be 12" from the throttle body. But, that puts in the bend when it goes down. Looks good where you put it though.

Rep Power: 419 AZ2K1Civic: I think you'e right. It's supposed to be 12" from the throttle body. Otherwise it'll open when you rev hard. You don't want to be sucking in air through that crappy filter all the time. Chck to make sue this isn't happening. Take off the filter and rev your engine hard and check to see if it's opening up at all. You'll need someone to help you.
