Problem with slave cylinder.
Just checking to see if any of you have had a problem with the slave cylinder. I was bleeding it today (just got the motor in) and the pedal still goes to the floor. I cannot hear it sucking air, but when i bleed it i do get a lot of air out of the bleeder. I have run about a QT of fluid through it, and still have air coming out of it.
So tomorrow i am replacing the slave cylinder. And will drive my car for the first time in 6 months.

try contacting this guy to see how he ended up getting his to work. He had the same problem and finally got his working. Also have you checked for any leaks in the system?

i figured it out. I swapped the cylinder to the new one, and still didnt work. I bled about 1 qt of fluid through it, still nothing.
So i got pissed off and tried something.....
I took a piece of vaccume line, and hooked it onto the bleeder. I then punched a small hole in the bottom of a gatorade bottle, and forced the vaccum line in. I then took the lid off the bottle, and cracked the bleeder. Then i turned on my shop vac, and stuck it in the end of the bottle.
I kept filling the reservoir til i ran more than 1 qt through it. I then closed the bleeder, and turned off the vaccum.
Works perfectly now.

Yeah, that biatch takes a lot of fluid for it to finally work right. I had to replace my slave cyl too - damn thing didn't like the ACT XTSS clutch I guess, broke one of the bolt holes on the damn thing! What a PITA...
I don't understand. How did you keep fluid from getting into the vac? How did you manage to get a seal between the bottle and shop vac? Help, I'm having this same exact problem, lol.

no problem andy.
I wish i would have seen this sooner, i would have answered your question.
But just for informations sake,
To seal the bottle to the vaccum, i used my hand, so i could control the amount of vaccum
And since the hole was in the bottom of the bottle, it didnt have enough sucking power to pull the liquid through the air in the bottle.
