Auto Door Locks...

So I went to car toys to get an alarm and auto door locks installed on my 05 dx/vp.

They put the alarm in but told me that the auto locks couldnt be done because they are run by cables. I then called my honda dealer and asked if I had to go through them to get auto locks put on my car and the service guy basically told me that there was no way to put auto locks on my car. At this point I was pretty ****ing pissed because I really wanted auto locks on my car. Then I went back to car toys again and asked if there was any way it could be done. They told me that if I could find a same gen civic in a junkyard somewhere and get the lock motors out of it then I could bring them back and they could put the auto door locks on.

I just wanted to confirm and see if this is true. I dont want to go and get the motors only to have them come back and say 'oh wait we were wrong sorry we cant to it'.

Thanks

look in the diy section, i put my own power locks in my 01 dx with 'autoloc' actuators and an 'autoloc' wireless remote system. pretty easy installation.

ok well I am trying to find what parts I should order from here: http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...ry5=DOOR+LOCKS

but it is kind of confusing... I dont know if I need the actuators or not.. when I paid for the auto door locks to be put in at car toys they sold me (and later refunded me) the actuators... so it doesnt sound like thats what I need. They basically said that because it was cable driven they couldnt clamp onto the cable like they could a bar because the cable would get frayed and I would have no door locks...

Im kind of confused
What parts should I be ordering?

all you need is the parts for the lock, honda has all the wiring and **** there. im not positive about this since i have an ex. but every other car i worked on has this. in your door there should be a latch type dealy, there is gunna be 3 bars on it. on the bottom is a electronic part bolted to it. thats what is gunna control the power locks. i know this is how it is on a 4th-6th gen, not sure if its the same for a 7th but i dont see why they would change it. anyway. all you should need is those parts and the wireing harness for it.i got one for a 6th gen for 30 bucks at a salvage yard.
